The Doctrine Of Paul Part 2

The Doctrine of Paul Continued

Acts 9:15 (KJV) 15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

Acts 13:43-47 (KJV) 43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God (the Creator). 44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God. 45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. 46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God (the Creator) should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. 47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.

Isaiah 49:6 (KJV) 6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation (rescue, safety, physically or morally, saving health, deliverance) unto the end of the earth.

Most people use the word salvation incorrectly. The word salvation is often used in terms that you are ready to die but it’s the benefits of our salvation. The Lord determined in the old covenant he would be the salvation of the gentiles. The Lord chose Paul to be the apostle to the gentiles.

Acts 15:17 (KJV) 17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

Acts 15:7-9 (KJV) 7 And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost (the spirit that’s Holy), even as he did unto us; 9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

It’s important to understand their hearts were purified by faith not by works.

Acts 15:10 (KJV) 10 Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved (made whole), even as they.

Acts 15:12-17 (KJV) 12 Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them. 13 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: 14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

They are realizing it was prophesied we gentiles would be brought in not by works, circumcision or baptism but as Abraham did, strictly by faith.

Acts 18:5-8 (KJV) 5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). 6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. 7 And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus (who was a Jew), one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue. 8 And Crispus (who was a Jew), the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians hearing believed, and were baptized.

Here he is ministering to a Jew and he baptized the Jewish man but he didn’t baptize the Gentiles which we’ll get into later. Paul said he was not sent to baptize but to preach the gospel of Abraham. As I mentioned before Abraham kept no law. He wasn’t circumcised, not baptized and no works. He simply believed God.

Acts 26:14-18 (KJV) 14 And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. 15 And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus (Yahshua) whom thou persecutest. 16 But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; 17 Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, 18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God (the Creator), that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

It is said over and over again that Paul was our apostle and we are to come by faith like Abraham.

Acts 28:23-29 (KJV) 23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus (Yahshua), both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. 24 And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. 25 And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers, 26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: 27 For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. 28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. 29 And when he had said these words, the Jews departed, and had great reasoning among themselves.

Here again you have healing along with getting your sins forgiven. What is it easier to say take up your bed or your sins be forgiven? Paul was sent to us and the only baptism he did was to Jewish people when he encountered them.

Ephesians 2:8-10 (KJV) 8 For by grace are ye saved (made whole) through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God (the Creator): 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

We are to understand that we should come just like Abraham, by faith, enter in by a blood covenant. Thou shall make a binding agreement; a covenant with your mouth by the salvation of the Covenant Keeping God thou shall be made whole.

We will go through scripture and show where the twelve apostles were told not to go to the gentiles.

Matthew 10:1-8 (KJV) 1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. 2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. 5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

I’m making the contrast showing that Paul was sent to the Gentiles. They were to be saved by faith; saved by putting faith in the name of Yahshua, Yah meaning the Father, Shua meaning the Son who is the spirit that’s holy.

As the apostles went preaching freely in the name of Yahshua the Jews understood the meaning of His name. The word was confirmed that they as Jews were back in covenant by putting faith in the name. Healings were taking place confirming that they were back in covenant. The scriptures tells us gentiles that we were grafted into what the Jews had; salvation, rescue, safety, physically or morally, saving health, deliverance. When the scriptures talk about that we as gentiles provoked the Jews to jealousy - it’s because the gentiles didn’t have to do all the things the Jews did in order to have the Covenant Keeping God as their rescue, safety, physically or morally, saving health, deliverance. Our (gentiles) salvation is strictly by faith. Unfortunately many of the Jews don’t understand the kind of salvation they had. There is no jealousy as far as us coming by faith because for most churches there is no healing because they don’t understand the word saved as being made whole. You don’t see many churches believing where the scripture says is it easier to take up your bed or your sins be forgiven. There is no reason for the Jews to be jealous when the gentile world is coming into a faithless and watered down doctrine.

Matthew 15:24(KJV) 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Jesus himself acknowledges he was sent to his own and his own received him not. Jesus did minister to a Samaritan woman after she insisted.

Matthew 28:16 (KJV) 16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

The Lord had already told them not to go to the gentiles but to the Jews only; so that’s what they did except for Peter who was sent to Cornelius.

Matthew 28:19 (KJV) 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father (Yah), and of the Son (Shuh), and of the Holy Ghost (Greek – Pheuma hagion; the spirit of the Father which is holy):

Where is states “all nations” its saying all the Jews among the nations. The Lord has already told them not to go to the gentiles.

When Paul insisted he preach the gospel of Abraham to us pagans as Abraham was too. Abraham became a man with a name change, a man of covenant and his natural seed became a people and made a nation out of them. For us Gentiles we need to come into salvation by faith.

Isaiah 49:1-8 (KJV) 1 Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD (Yahweh) hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. 2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;
3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel (Prince of God), in whom I will be glorified. 4 Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the LORD, and my work with my God (Elohim the Creator). 5 And now, saith the LORD that formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob again to him, Though Israel be not gathered, yet shall I be glorious in the eyes of the LORD, and my God shall be my strength. 6 And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.
7 Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD that is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee. 8 Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

Isaiah 49:1-8 is prophesy of Jesus (Yashua). In the first verse the word Lord, meaning Yahweh, the God of the Covenant, the Covenant- keeping, the Almighty God (El)

Matthew 1:18 (KJV) 18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Luke 1:28 (KJV) 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

Luke 2:25-32 (KJV) 25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, 28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: 30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

Acts 13:44-48 (KJV)
44  And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
45  But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
46  Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
47  For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
48  And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.

2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV) 2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

2 Thessalonians 2:3 (KJV) 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
